Day Forty-Three; Footnotes Yet Another Busy, Fun Day

Well this has been a day.

And I am one tired puppy.

But, everything actually went very well. I took mine and my son’s tax papers and dropped them off this morning. On the way back I stopped by the cemetery and placed new flowers on my husband’s grave and then stopped in the dollar store for gift bags. My mother and I were going to attend a baby shower today and needed those bags and cards. Home again I took mom one of the bags and let her choose between the two cards. I then went home to prepare a bite to eat as I was starved.

I debated on sneaking off to the mountain again, but feared that since it was Saturday and an absolutely gorgeous day it would be packed. While all dogs are supposed to be on a leash, that isn’t always the case and I won’t risk Bella getting hurt. Plus there are more warm days coming.

I looked up directions for the church where the shower was being held and saw that it was easy to get to and not that far from home. I told mom what time we would leave and she told me that gave her time to take a nap.

We arrived on time, signed her register book and found a seat. I asked my niece if she had any water and she got a glass for mom. The shower was really nice, plenty of folks came, the food served was really good and whoever made the tea.. that was on point. When she began opening gifts, it was obvious that this baby will be among  the best dressed in the county. It also showed that the people purchasing those gifts have very good taste.

After mom and I got home, my son decided that yes, we would go pay a visit to some friends. It was late when we arrived so we only stayed a couple of hours but I made friends with the dogs so there is that. It was a good visit and I’m glad we went. Both of us enjoy company but rarely get any so to be able to visit with them was wonderful

Having one of those days where you stay on the go, is a good thing. It keeps you active both mentally and physically. Visiting with family and friends, draws you out of that little safe place you have created.. okay, I have created and gives you reason to think and speak on topics that may be outside what you normally ponder on. I even found somewhere new on my own..thank you google maps for your help.

Its been a wonderful day, I wonder what tomorrow will bring..
