Life Gardens

If the flowers in a garden were all exactly the same; same type, same size, same color, same aroma, it would still be beautiful, but it would be well, bland. It is when that same flower garden is filled with a variety that makes it special. It invites a more varied number of visitors. Among the different flowers you will find different bees, butterfly, moths and even birds. A variety of ants, spider and beetle can be seen. It is oft times more pleasing to the human senses as well. Each different plant, each different color having a purpose and adding to the world in its own ways.

It is the same with people. You can attempt to fill a place with people who are alike in as many ways as possible even if you have to try and manipulate nature. You can bring together people who all think, act and feel the same way. Their voices sound the same, their looks the same, but you end up with something very, well, bland. There is no different thought processes or imagination. Creativity is lost.

It is when you have a group that is diversified that great things happen. People who are different and think different can work with and off of each other and wonderful things happen. It is when we take the creative minds of different backgrounds and put them together that great things are created. Lives are changed, lifestyles are changed, history is not repeated and the future is changed for the better.

A stew is made better when you add the spices to the broth. Let each and all of us be the spices in the stew that is this life. Let us work with each other to create, to build to change things for the better. Color is not a bad thing, different is not a bad thing, as long as we work to the common good of the garden that is this life.
