Beeautiful, Rebecca. ❤️
Thank you John. I love it when I get that good shot of bees because they are not easy to catch since they simply are not still. I’m just glad they instinctively know I’m not out to hurt them so they ignore me and my attempts.
Memories of a bee sting on my hand and foot as a child just popped back into my head! 😂
Bumblebees and honeybees are no problem, but hornets and yellow jackets are of the devil and I avoid them at all costs.
I have been very wary of them since those days in the late 1960s.
My mother is very allergic to hornets. We had a nest of them take over a tree beside the corner of my carport. It was a nightmare trying to kill those things off. They were big, mean, and trying to get into my house. The minute an outside light was turned on it was covered in hornets. Not a good thing at all.
Wow, that’s really terrible! You need a professional exterminator to take care of that mess.
This was a few years back. We alternated between professional hornet spray and some specific type brake cleaner. Both of which could be sprayed from a safe distance. We don’t have to worry about any sort of repeat due to the tree falling during a storm.
That’s good, bye-bye tree and hornets.
