Mojo and Moxie

An update on the kittens.

Even though it may not appear like it, their eyes are better. One thing that is definitely good is their appetite. I have some kitten dry food that I am going to add to the canned food, or maybe take it in afterwards. I’ll figure it out.

They still fight taking all that medicine, but I do get it in them and on their eyes, fight or no fight.

When I went in this morning to take care of them I quickly saw that Mojo has learned something. She can climb up the side of the kennel and escape. This means that I need to latch it securely each time now. She wouldn’t be able to get far as I close the door to that room securely, but she would be away from her brother and he stays very close to her. Of course that could just mean that she shows him how to escape as well if I forget to latch the top.

I purchased a shallow aluminum pan yesterday and placed it in the kennel for a litter box. They learned very quickly what that was for and have made good use of it even if it is not an official litter box. It works, that’s what matters.

Mojo has always been the healthiest of the litter and I’m reasonably sure she is going to be fine. Moxie is going to take a little more time I think-could be wrong- but he is showing progress and for that I’m grateful. Also for all the encouragement and assistance I have been given in caring for them. Thank you all.

Her eyes are clearing of the matting, but the swelling isn’t gone yet.
