Day Thirty: Footnotes; I Heard a Sound

What, is under my house?

I went to see if I needed to add wood to the wood stove and heard…something. If there are kittens under there, they sound very different. I hoped that I could get my son to hear the sound but so far I haven’t heard it again and of course he didn’t hear it.

I’m sitting here now, just after nine at night. I happened to see the little weather icon at the bottom of the computer screen. It is saying its thirty-six degrees Fahrenheit and mostly sunny. Actually, maybe somewhere but here it is fully dark.

Today has been another one of those winter days where I just kept myself inside with the exception of feeding the cats or stepping out on the porch for firewood. It warmed up a little, but I’m so ready for Spring and warm weather. I’m hoping they …being the weather prognosticators, were correct in that we will get some temperatures up in the sixties this week. If so then I know I can do some outdoor hiking, maybe even head for the mountain. Something for which to look forward. Warm, outdoors, hiking in nature, definitely something to anticipate.

There is a great peace to be found in nature. There is also a great peace to be found in the knowledge that your name is written in the Book of Life.

Now if I can only find out exactly what is under my house.
