Day 290; Footnotes of Change, Can BE Amazing

Time to adjust.

I received a test message last night asking if I could help in the nursery today at church. The lady scheduled wasn’t going to be able to for what ever reason. I didn’t ask, I just confirmed I could be there. I’m glad I was. There was only three young boys and they were so cute. No arguments, no fights, no screaming over toys, That and trucks, play food and playdough. It was the first time I had assisted with the lady who was there when I came in. She knew exactly how to get those boys to do just what she wanted, she was amazing.

Walking out of the church I saw that the temperatures had not warmed up much.  Time to adjust.

Yesterday I sat here and watched as the winds picked up as a cold front came in. As the winds blew stronger, the trees swaying, the leaves began to fall. Poor sweet Molly doesn’t understand. Watching the leaves falling, confuses her, the winds frighten her. She will back up onto the porch, or sit right outside the door and bark crazily at the winds.

Today, the winds had settled down, my yard now more heavily covered with leaves. Autumn has arrived, though the temperatures may warm up somewhat, but I seriously doubt that we will see any more summer warm days this year.

The days are already shorter, cooler was coming, and now it is here. I am not complaining, I am accepting the change of seasons. Accepting that we have gone from shorts to sweater weather. From long days to short. Change, is inevitable. Change, can and should be embraced.
Change,  can be amazing.

Imagine if you will, a world in which changes have taken place.

Children are not hurt.

individuals no matter the age, are not hurt through abuse

animals are not abused, none, not any, whether domestic or wild

Racism is done away with.

Discrimination, is done away with

True, accurate education is normal, facts over fiction taught.

Homelessness is done away with. A way is found that all have the form of home of their choice and are safe.

Hunger is a thing of the past. Everyone, world wide is fed.

So many things, if changed, would make such a difference. To make changes, there must be determination, desire, an attitude of making and being the difference in a world so desperately in need. It takes an acceptance that change happens. Some things, such as the seasons, will change no matter. Some things, will only change when mindset changes. When we actively seek to bring about that change for the better. Time to adjust that mindset.

  1. Sounds not unlike Sweden. Thanks for the post.

  2. John says:

True education, facts over fiction. Let it be! Stop teaching lies to our children, especially the fiction that is global warming. Let it be. ❤️
