Day 275 Footnotes Show and Shine in Brief

How in the world, can I find the words to describe today? Are there words that can even come close to adequately express how today went?

My mother called early because she knew I was going today. She did not know that it was going to be an all day event even though I had told her. She asked if I was going to leave the dogs outside, um, yeah. That would be just a little too long to leave them confined with no way to get outside for the necessary stuff.

So at a few minutes before ten this morning. I was in the car and headed for the event. By the time I had arrived a lot of folks had already been there for a while. When I told them I was staying the day I was sent up into the upper field, which meant climbing a small hill. Concerned I headed that way, Star made it like a champ. Then, horror upon horrors, they made me back up. Then they weren’t happy and made me squeeze Star closer to the Jeep beside me. Trying to make room I know but, backing. With the parking guy’s help, Star was quickly in place and I was headed off to get registered. Which in the process I put the wrong age on my Jeep. She’s a 2018, I wrote 1918. Ooops, but I caught and corrected my mistake.

I quickly found myself with another lady manning the booth with the Just Jeepin shirts. At one point manning it by myself but that was fine. Face your fears right? I didn’t win any raffle items. Star didn’t win any awards. Star did however get ducked today. So that is super cool. I, am exhausted. So I’ll save all the rest of the day for tomorrow where maybe I can do it better justice, and share some photos from today.

Just one part of one parking areas. Jeeps were everywhere. Unofficial number was over 400

What a day, what an amazing, amazing day.

I’m so glad that you had a fantastic day, Rebecca! I like the jeep with the skeletons on top. Your Jeep looks super clean like it has been in storage each winter. You must not get much snow there, road salt kills! The police car looks great, I am sad that an officer was killed in the line of duty. It’s a beautiful tribute to the officer and his/her family to retire the car. Respect. 🙏🏻✝️❤️

    • If you were to have been able to attend the show, you would see that 99.9% of the Jeeps look as if they were just driven off the showroom floor with the exception of the modifications. I’ve taken better care of this vehicle than I have any other. Since it is the only vehicle that I purchased brand new. To be honest though, I doubt we’ve had much bad weather since I purchased it, threats of but not bad storms. I have washed the salt chemicals off though from those near misses they prepared for.

  2. I can’t wait to hear your follow up post. Love these pictures and I’m so glad you had a good day! 🙂
