January Thirtieth; A New Message

  Is there any such thing as a new message? Have we not heard and seen everything before? Do we simply word it differently and move on?

A search inquiry brings up two results.

First; a verbal, written, or recorded communication sent to or left for a recipient who cannot be contacted directly. (thanks google) I’m sure all of us at some point has left a voice message when calling someone. We have left notes on doors or desks. Emails are a normal route of transfer of messages.

Second; a significant point or central theme, especially one that has political, social, or moral importance.

That second definition, that is what is on my mind right now. We need a new (renewed?) message to guide us through all the storms we are battling. The winds of high emotions and struggles have left us adrift and confused. We’re battling enemies that we may not fully understand. I believe, that the confusion has left us emotionally vulnerable and volatile. We are allowing the storms to use those against us.

We know how to fight seen enemies and readily do so. Whether it be insects invading our home, thieves in the neighborhood, or acts of war. We pick up the weapons needed and we go to battle. We see who or what we are fighting. We have a target. We know how to create a plan and institute said plan. When the battle is over, we celebrate the victory.

What we have been facing and continue to face is not so readily visible. Storms have many methods of destruction. Some can be seen approaching and be prepared, such as the tornado. Others, like the earthquake strike suddenly and without warning. You see the destruction left behind. A hurricane you know is approaching, you make plans, you prepare, you evacuate, then you watch. You see the destruction as it is happening and then you return to what is left behind. You see the shambles made of that which was once strong.

We, are in a hurricane. The winds creating the confusion that have left us struggling, fighting for survival. Follow who you wish and what you believe on where the virus came from. Whether it was  created and deliberately or accidentally released. Whether it was from wet markets. Whether it is something that is a result of the 5G network. It is something that has and is created shambles of life as we have known. 

The U.S. political system has become a nightmare. You wonder who and what to believe. Tons of information and misinformation is being released every second. People are battling constantly, in the dark and in the light. You want to believe the system works, but you see where it isn’t. You wonder, who is clean and for the good, and who is dirty and seeking hidden agendas.

Is there an answer, and where is the solution?

 The entire world is struggling over the pandemic. Don’t go out. If you must go out, wear a mask and stay six feet, or eight feet or ten feet apart. You can’t go here but you can go there. Small business is failing while big corporations are thriving, or are they? Lives are being lost, not only to the virus but because of the virus. The loneliness, the depression, the domestic abuse that is going on among those locked down. people are going hungry, not only for food, but for the craved interaction among people.

So, what new message do we need? What do we need to hear once again and again and again until we begin to believe?

We are strong.

We are capable.

We have intelligence.

We have compassion.

We hold within our heart, love.

There is hope.

We have understanding.

Fear is a created emotion.

Anger is a created emotion.

Hate is a created emotion.

We have control over our thoughts.

Our beliefs.

Our lives.

When we believe in ourselves. When we stand up for ourselves. When we take the time to move past the pablum ( https://www.verywellfamily.com/when-can-i-give-my-baby-pablum-5072605 ) we are being fed and move on to solid information. Move past the controlled news and into the honest. When we take the time to exercise our abilities to research, to learn, to live as responsible, intelligent, compassionate people, we can and will move out of the storm. When we take the time to stop letting outside forces create a division among us and reunite as the people we are, we are strong. We are a force to be reckoned with and feared.

When we stop listening to man, and start hearing the voice of a loving God, guiding us, uniting us, healing us, we are brought out of the storms and into the calm.

So maybe not so much a new message, but a renewed, a reminder. Storms are temporary. Be brave, be strong, have faith. When we are through, we can and will rebuild.

There is power, even in the storms.
