January Twenty-fourth; New

A new day, that first hour of being awake. Watching the day begin around you. Feeling the awareness of the hours to come moving through you, bringing you to being fully alert. Enjoying your coffee, tea, soda as you enjoy those first moments.

That first day of the week. Where your schedules begin anew.

A new month, sitting down to work on your budget, seeing how your time plays out for this or that responsibility. Checking the days to see when you can add in a moment or two of fun.

A new year, where we toss the old calendars away and look to the future, hoping for better. When we look to the special days that are coming. Birthdays, holidays, Saturdays.

But it isn’t just days.

New jobs bring new challenges and accomplishments. New jobs bring new skills and new thoughts.

New homes, when you out grown or the house becomes too large. When you move to a new location.

A new home brings new memories and new adventures.

New friends, that compliment the long term. That bring about new moments of laughter, adventure and growth.

New babies. An expanding family that brings new love.

New loves. That fill an emptiness, that help you to grow beyond your present position but accept you as you are at the same time.

A new you. It isn’t that the old is bad. Yet we call can improve. We may work on our health, our attitude, our appearance. We may work on improving our education level or skills. Even learning a new hobby, is an improvement

.Just as a new day is a new beginning. Such is a becoming new person. Even if that is by taking baby steps toward your goal.
