Not Just Another Blogophilia Write. I’d be Lion

Blogophilia is something that has been around since Myspace days, migrating to FaceBook when Myspace morphed into what it is now. It is a group of folks who seek the weekly writing challenges that are posted on Sunday morning to inspire the muse within. Given a topic, two challenges with extra points if one can guess whose idea they were and a photo to guess the secret phrase. Each member takes these prompts and brings to the table a gift of their creative mind. Examples and past challenges await at the link below.

While my mind is shuffling about thoughts, ideas, sections of the project I am working on, a momentary diversion is nice. It does allow the mind a chance to reset as it clears the noise.

The topic this week, I’d be Lion. I would be lying if I said I wouldn’t play with the word, but also there is this. If I were to be given categories and told to consider being an animal, what would my African choice be? Grammatically incorrect, but its the topic so I’d be lion.

Why? Because of their strength, their beauty, their power. They are ruthless when it comes to what they want. But watch those documentaries and they are also loving.

I want that strength and determination for my project. I want to be able to go forward in power, but also in love.

Bon Jovi sang; Take a chance, sometimes its all you need.

The project in works, is one that has lingered in my mind for a while, but in a disjointed form. Struggling to make itself clear. Now the road, while not going to be easy, seems more clear. Again Bon Jovi’s words, “This road was paved by the winds of change.” A change of heart, mind, and will. An understanding that words hold great power and must be chosen with care.

As I move forward in this, Bon Jovi’s word mirror my knowledge of my walk with Christ, “With every step I take, I know that I’m not alone.

I will work on the project with a thoughtful determination, a strength of will and a heart of love. With a focus clear for the goal, but a hope as light as helium that brings such laughter as well. With the purpose to encourage and bring a bit of clarity on the topic at hand.
