In the words of Andrew Lloyd Webber, all I ask of you, is to bear with me, to give me a chance. I created this blog years ago, and have only sporadically written up to now. Before my recent return it had been over three years. An email mentioning changes caught my attention and brought me back. I want to see where I can go with this. I want to make this work for many reasons.
There is the creative outlet. The place to allow the words of the imagination and heart to flow and end with something special. To know that they are not simply random words strung together with no purpose but to have intent and reason.
I want to encourage those who read. I want the reader to walk away feeling at least somewhat better than before they began. To come to that final sentence with a more positive mindset.
I hope, in some situations to share a lesson learned. That the reader will recognize something they too have or may be facing and see how it can be over come or in the least gotten through to the other side. Possibly even how the journey is progressing so far and if they are a step ahead, then they can share how they handled the situation.
Its obvious when I start writing, that no one can ask me that old adage of has the cat got your tongue because I can and often do tend to get quite wordy. There are times, when the words flow from the heart or mind and bleed onto the page, it is often best to simply allow them to flow. One never know what gems that may produce.
I’m excited to see those who have found my somewhat humble offerings and have acknowledged that they have visited. Trust me, the appreciation is great, and also, I am not above taking suggestions from those who are further along and know the tricks of making this venture work. Because I really do hope and need for this to work. I have not hidden the fact that I hope to make this a source of income. Writing is a long held passion and dream that has never faded. If I can make this work, I can be here for my parents. Change that, I’m not going to say “if” I’m going to amend that to when, and as, I make this work. The fact that my writing is not genre specific, in a way is a handicap, but it also allows me to write on a greater variety of topics. Who knows how far it may roam and what explorations of topics will be found?
For me, writing has always been a grand adventure, one to explore and enjoy. If I can create some good along the way, so much the better.
